Crossroads
Paddling on the Conneticut, Crossroads 2006
Crossroads is a monthy social event held for area Christians in their 20s and 30s.
What
Crossroads is an informal social event for area Christians. The Crossroads get-together is a dinner, usally in conjunction with some sort of activity. In winter months we have gone bowling and held Super Bowl parties. In the summer, cookouts, movies at the Fairlee Drive-in, and other fair weather activies are not uncommon. The shoulder seasons usually find us indoors too - often having a potluck supper.
Everyone is welcome at Crossroads events, Christians and non-Christians alike. The non-Christian need not fear, there is no heavy evangelistic message or bible thumping, just a bunch of fun people from the area. If you come, expect between 12 and 30 people, attendance for this event often swings wildly with the season and event.
When and Where
Crossroads is usually held either on the last Tuesday of the month, from 6:30pm to 9:30pm, or on a Sunday afternoon. Like the timing, the location also varies each month. Past events have been held at Tom Dent Cabin (Thanksgiving dinner), the Fairlee Drive-in (picnic and a movie), Union Village Dam (summer games and a barbeque), as well as a variety of other locations. To find out where the next Crossroads event will be held, get in touch with the bible study group through the contact page (http://www.vhfg.org/contact.html).
