Someone is hacking my website, can you help?
My site is requested hundreds of times a day, from several adresses.
I wouldn’t care, apart from the fact that it is interfering with my stats. What can I do? And is the person making money from it?
Here are some of the recent adresses:
http://mp3.joomladesk.com/Ruskarakkaus.html
http://mp3.joomladesk.com/Metal_Kings.html
http://nails.latest-movies.cn/fungus-infection.html
http://nails2.joomladesk.com/toenail-art.html
http://blog.blogtick.cn/
How can I find out who is doing it, given that I am willing to do whatever it takes?
First of all, “hacking back” is illegal. So wanting to do “whatever it takes” and basically advertising for someone to asssist you in this is not wise.
Second, simply sending requests to your wewbsite is not “hacking” nor is it “attacking” you. If it was happening to the degree that service was disrupted… then this would be a “DOS – denial of service” and then, might be considered an “attack” and “illegal”. However, you would have to also prove that it was intentional and malicious intent at that.
Your best course of action would be to contact the owner of the domain and report this “phenomenon” to them.. as it could be something as simple as an image linked to your website or something similar.
You could also report the addresses to your own domain host or ISP and simply have those blocked at the firewall.
Good Luck and in future, as an ethical hacker, it would be nice if you used the proper terminology instead of incriminating us all as “bad guys”.
