With toe fungus, can you paint your toenails while taking an antibiotic for it?

I’ve heard that you can’t paint your toenails because the toe nail needs to breath or something like that. But the only places I’ve read that have been for topical creams/ointments. You’d think that since its an antibiotic and going through your bloodstream it would be ok. I just want it gone so basically I’m wondering if painting your toenails impedes the antibiotic at all/makes the antibiotic take longer? Thanks for your help!

yeah you can still paint your nails – but to stop them from going discoloured becuase of the paint, put down a layer of clear polish first, let it dry, then add colour.
